Christian History

Image
Thank you again for joining me on this adventure of church history and of the women and men who made a difference because of their faith.  May the Lord our God continue to bless His children with His Word and the Holy Spirit that lives within us, so we can boldly be His light & salt unto others within our sphere. I pray that you will enjoy this week's video and audio which will stir your heart and bless you! Quote of the Week - A. W. Tozer Every generation for some reason feels the need to change or improve upon God's plan. We must purge ourselves of this terrible god-complex in our own generation. We are to accept God's Word as He gave it, regardless of any personal inconvenience.  My experience has been although the Bible is wonderful, it is at the same time, in terms of its demands, the most inconvenient book you can read.". Persecution of Christians

Calling on all peoples of faith. We need to wake up from our slumber and realize that the end of religious freedom is here and quickly coming to our borders.  Will you consider coming together as one (1) people to pray for all brothers & sisters throughout the world who are being persecuted for their faith. Just look outside of your world for a moment and peek at the chaos that is all around and the how everywhere you look now "good is being called evil and evil is being called good."   This is a short read and there is a link at the bottom where you can get more information.  Reminder that its not just the Muslim faith being persecuted in America, but our very values and moral. Our character as a nation under God has been compromised.  What will you do, when this hatred hits our American soil?  Christians the most persecuted group in world for second year: Study   By  Perry Chiaramonte  Published January 06, 2017    FoxNews.com Christians continued

Enjoy the music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu3o8W5JMuU As the ending of 2016 was quickly approaching, I was meditating on how to develop a deeper prayer walk in 2017. So I decided to look into finding some short devotional books on prayer and came across one titled "How To Pray" by John Wesley.  I am not very familiar with old authors, such as John Wesley, but I have heard his name mentioned in several books which I read. Please allow me to share from that book. This is titled Prayer and God's Promises. Please let me know what you think of this piece.  "More especially in time of sickness and pain does satan press with all his might. “Does not God say, without holiness no one shall see Him? You know holiness is the full image of God and how far is this out of your reach! You cannot attain it. All these things you have suffered in vain! You are yet in your sins, and you must perish at the end.” If your eye is not steadily fixed on God who has borne all
