2020 National Day of Prayer  Thursday, 5/7/2020 Let us prepare our hearts, mind and spirit as we come together as a Nation and as the body of Christ for prayer.    The  Scripture and theme           Habakkuk 2:14  "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." God made a promise to the prophet Habakkuk during some very deep and troubling times in Israel’s history. It was a time marked by darkness and disobedience from the culture and God’s people. The prophet cries out to God for hope and help and God answers in a most unexpected way; to use a wicked, idol-worshipping nation’s army to come and execute His judgement on His people. Habakkuk could not believe what he was hearing as God began to detail the “woes” that would come to pass, but in the middle of the pronouncement of woes God pauses to make a profound promise that would eventually be seen in the face of Jesus Christ and spread by Christ-foll

The Sign of the Broken Flask - Jeremiah 19:1-9     “Thus, says the  Lord : “Go and get a potter’s earthen flask, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the elders of the priests. And go out to the Valley of the Son of  Hinnom, which is by the entry of the Potsherd Gate; and proclaim there the words that I will tell you, and say, ‘Hear the word of the  Lord , O kings of Judah and inhabitants of  Jerusalem. 1 Thessalonians 5           The Day of the Lord But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.  For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.  For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. I AM SO VERY PROUD OF MY DAUGHTER DIANNA FOR HER SACRIFICE AND DEDICATION TO GO AFTER HER DREAM OF GRADUATING FROM USC WITH HER MASTERS IN EDUCATION. Psalm 103:17-18 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him and His righteousness to children's children,  To such as keep His covenant and to those who remember His commandments to do them.  Young adults go forth in the ways of the Lord and may His face forever shine upon you, your children and their children. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I have toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
