Just Like Eve

          So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food,

That it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise,

She took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.       

Genesis 3:6

How many times have you willingly been deceived because 
you wanted your own way? 

You didn’t want to hear the truth and continued to give yourself 
silly reasons as to why you should believe the lie. 
You have convinced yourself and now are trying to convince others.

But, you are going to have your own way.

The Holy Spirit is whispering to you, “don’t be deceived. 
This is not what I want for you and the trap has been set for you. 
My child, trust Me.”

But, you are going to have your own way.

You see the red flags and those very close to you are trying 
to reason with you.

But, you are going to have your own way.

You feel the conviction in your heart and spirit, but you 
choose to ignore it. You even received confirmation about 
your bad actions / decision through a word, a message, 
a picture or something else.

But, you are going to have your own way..

You are now living in this lie and have made it part of your life. 
Knowingly you see the pain of this lie in the eyes of your loved ones. 

But, you are going to have your own way..

You hear the lie in your voice when you are with friends. 
The lie has now taken over your conscience and you 
don’t have any peace.

But, you are going to have your own way.

You’re frustrated because the lie has you in bondage and 
there isn’t any way out. You are confused and ask yourself 
how did it get this far?

But, you wanted to have your own way.

You have become the lie. And this lie isn’t pretty anymore! 
You see the horror of what is now your life and you see the 
sadness in the eyes of your loved ones.

But, you wanted to have your own way.

The relationships in your life are breaking down. 
There are no more lies you can tell. You want this all to 
be a dream, so you can wake up and everything will be right again.

But, you wanted to have your own way.

Things will continue to be bad and then it will get worse. 
How many loved ones need to get hurt by this lie?

But, you wanted to have your own way.

 Your actions were not because you were deceived, 

but because you chose to believe the lie. 

          There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough;

Look again, it leads straight to hell.

Sure, those people appear to be having a good time,

But all that laughter will end in heartbreak.  

Proverbs 14:12-13

 

Are you ready to stop having your own way?

Are you ready to turn things around?

Do you want to change your life?

Are you tired of hurting loved ones?

“Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord,
  Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;
  Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
  If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;

Isaiah 1:18-19
