    The Bible records that in ancient times there came from Gilead, beyond the Jordan, a substance used to heal and soothe. It came, perhaps, from a tree or shrub, and was a major commodity of trade in the ancient world. It was known as the Balm of Gilead. That name became symbolic for the power to soothe and heal.

We are blessed to have an example of what a Father role is & what obligations and long suffering it takes to be a hands on father;  We see the pressures and toll that fathers must endure, for the sake of their families. Such a blessing they have been! But as children of God we have the love, protection and care of our Heavenly Father!
