As you
read Chapter 1 of Song of Solomon keep in mind that in God there is no male or
female.
So read this as a love letter to
you (young woman) from the (young man) the King of kings.
Yes, guys... this is for you too!
Young Woman (You)
Kiss me and
kiss me again for your love is sweeter than wine.
How pleasing is your fragrance; your name is like the spreading fragrance of scented oils. No wonder all the young women love you!
Take me with you; come, let’s run! The king has brought me into his bedroom.
How pleasing is your fragrance; your name is like the spreading fragrance of scented oils. No wonder all the young women love you!
Take me with you; come, let’s run! The king has brought me into his bedroom.
Are you enchanted by His
Love?
Invite the Lover of your soul to
come into an intimate relationship so that you may learn to long for Him.
Pause for a moment and ask
yourself if you enjoy being in His Presence?
Allow Him to bring you into His
chambers as you draw closer and deeper into His Word.
Young Women
of Jerusalem
How happy we are for you, O king. We praise
your love even more than wine.
Let us praise the Lord for His
glorious Love.
Young Woman (You)
How right they are to adore you. I am dark but beautiful, O
women of Jerusalem, dark as the tents of Kedar, dark as the curtains of
Solomon’s tents.
Don’t stare at me because I am dark, the sun has darkened my skin.
My brothers were angry with me; they forced me to care for their vineyards, so I couldn’t care for myself—my own vineyard.
Don’t stare at me because I am dark, the sun has darkened my skin.
My brothers were angry with me; they forced me to care for their vineyards, so I couldn’t care for myself—my own vineyard.
Are you at times taken back by
His attention and Favor towards You? And do you tell Him about your
imperfections?
Tell me, my love, where are you leading your
flock today? Where will you rest your sheep at noon? For why should I
wander like a prostitute among your friends and their flocks?
Note the strong desire to be in
His presence.
Why do you think the word
"prostitute" is used here?
Do you have "friends and
their flocks" that you need to call out of your life?
Young Man (The Lord)
If you don’t know, O most beautiful woman, follow the
trail of my flock, and graze your young goats by the shepherds’ tents.
You are as exciting, my darling, as a mare among Pharaoh’s stallions.
How lovely are your cheeks; your earrings set them afire!
How lovely is your neck, enhanced by a string of jewels.
We will make for you earrings of gold and beads of silver.

Look at the Lord's loving and
gentle response to come and follow Him.
Take a slow look at His words of
how beautiful you are to Him and how He sees beauty and grace when He looks
upon You.
Allow His words to quiet any
doubts or fears that You may have.
Young Woman (You)
The king is
lying on his couch, enchanted by the fragrance of my perfume.
My lover is like a sachet of myrrh lying between my breasts.
My lover is like a sachet of myrrh lying between my breasts.
He is like a bouquet of sweet henna blossoms from the
vineyards of En-gedi.
Such a wonderful picture of sweet
fellowship and romance with the Lover of your soul when you are in communion
with Him.
How amazing and reassuring it is
to know that You will always find His sweet fragrance
whenever you are in prayer.
Young Man (The Lord)
How beautiful you are, my darling, how
beautiful! Your eyes are like doves.
Allow the Lord to whisper these words
to your heart and remind you of how much He loves You. As a child of God it is
our desire is to be loved.
Young Woman (You)
You are so
handsome, my love, pleasing beyond words! The soft grass is our
bed; fragrant cedar branches are the beams of our house, and pleasant smelling firs are the
rafters.
A beautiful expression of a true
intimate relationship and love for one another.
Do you long for such a
relationship?
Invite God to come into your
heart and ask Him to help you to commit to drawing closer to Him.
Your walk and your prayer life
will bring these things into your Heart as your relationship with Him grows
deeper.
Behold
what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called
children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1
