Thanksgiving and Praise

One characteristic of God’s people is they will praise Him. Praise is an expression of adoration and thanksgiving, either in prayer or song and may be accompanied by various expressions of joy.
So let us be reminded that Thanksgiving and Praise are sisters and we desire to bless Him for His wonderful works and promises.

With humble hearts we give Him thanks:

·        God always,   Psalm 66:1-3
Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God,“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.

·        For everything, Ephesians 5:19-20
Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

·        In all circumstances,   Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

·        We give thanks,   1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
·        Our praise is part of our worship of God,
            And were continually in the temple praising and blessing God.
·        All living things and God’s people, have a duty to praise God and it is done as our spiritual sacrifice unto Him.
Psalm 116:17
I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And will call upon the name of the Lord.

          Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honor and majesty,

·        Heaven’s theme is Praise and Thanksgiving
And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, “Amen! Alleluia!”

Then a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”

Revelation 7:12

Saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
                      Amen.”

Thankful for others who need encouragement and continued prayer.

Ephesians 1:16
       do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in          my prayers.

We do have so much to be grateful for. What are you grateful for? Let us add to the list and offer it up to The Most High God, The One True Living God to the great I AM.
