The Believers' Identification
Although this book was first
published in 1945, you will find the verbiage old-fashion and some details
trivial, but what a powerful message it delivers! Once our eyes have been
opened to see and understand the mighty sacrifice and work done at the Cross by
Jesus, then our perception of who we are and who God is will change our heart
forever!
Psalm
51:10-11
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a
steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not
take Your Holy Spirit from me.
It will also change the way you think
Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Chapter 1
Speaks about identifying with The Cross. In
your own words explain what new thing you learned about yourself and the Cross.
In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me”. In our own strength
this is impossible.
Read Colossians 3:1-2 and share how it ministers to your
heart.
Let’s look at Colossians 3:12-17 to get a clear
picture of how we should walk in Christ. Do you see some things that can be
added to your walk daily?
It is our desire to mature and to have a
closer walk with God. Write a prayer for strength and wisdom.
For
the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but
to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Thought for The Week
Remember who you are in Christ
and remind others. Be ready to share the gospel and the hope of Jesus Christ.
