What Is Born Again
WORD
PICTURE
SIN means to miss the mark. We
all are born with this nature of falling short of the mark. Sin began in the
garden of Eden, where God’s creation lived in perfect harmony. There,
everything was holy and man’s relationship with God and creation was a perfect
picture of heaven here on earth.
This
was God’s plan.
But, because of man’s disobedience in the garden of Eden,
sin entered the world. The serpent (who was against God from the beginning)
becomes the influence of this world as we now know it. Man is put out of the
garden and his relationship with God is not the same, for God is holy and man
has now inherited a sinful nature. This is where we are today.
The world blames God for all that
is ugly; death, sickness, sorrows, wars, hatred, heartaches and the list goes
on. The truth is that through man’s disobedience sin has entered our world. It
is sin in man, that is the root of these evils. Plus, the influence of Satan
has continued to manifest throughout history and evil has become worse and more
rampant. Now we and the world are caught up in his influence.
Our Old Nature
·
We walk
according to our own intellect and desires
·
We are without God’s influence
·
We need to return to God, but we do not
understand how or why
Ezekiel 18:30-32
“Therefore,
I will judge you, O house of Israel, everyone according to his ways,” says the
Lord God. “Repent, and turn
from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast
away from you all the transgressions which you have committed and get
yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of
Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the
Lord God. “Therefore, turn
and live!”
Ezekiel 11:18-20
Ezekiel 11:18-20
“And they will
go there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations
from there. Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within
them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart
of flesh, that
they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall
be My people, and I will be their God”.
Born
Again of The Spirit
In the beginning God provided the Ten Commandments in order
that we may know what is right from wrong. We also have a conscience that if
properly influenced will also serve as a reminder of what is good. But our
heart, our mind and our spirit must be renewed. We need to recognize our need
for God’s influence in our heart, mind and lives and this is what being born
again is about.
This is the change we need in our heart and spirit that
will begin a new journey for us. This change will affect our relationships, with
spouses, children and others, but especially with God, as you begin to desire to
know Him more.
BORN AGAIN
This is God’s Plan

This is Born Again
Changed
Life 2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in
Christ, he is a new
creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Born of God John 3:5-8
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the
Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is
born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again. The
wind blows where it wishes, and you hear it, but cannot tell where it comes
from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Whoever has
been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin,
because he has been born of God.
One Sacrifice, One Way John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
The Lamb of God John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
That You May Believe John 20:30-31
And truly
Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not
written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in
His name.
Salvation Romans 10:9
“that if you
confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”.
Faith Romans 10:16-18
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So, then faith comes by
hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
