The Cross and Satan
It is very difficult for me to
comprehend why some Christians are so quick to think and believe that Satan is
always after them and are a bad testimony of the power of God in their lives as
they walk around so defeated!
Where’s the power of God who
resurrected Jesus from the dead on the third day? Where is the power of God in
the lives of so many who have been transformed from the old nature to a new
creation in Him.
Acts 26:17
“to
open their eyes, in order to turn them from
darkness to light, and from the
power of Satan to God, that they may receive
forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those
who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
Romans
6:4
“Therefore, we were buried with Him through
baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory
of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”.
Satan is a real enemy of the
Cross. But he has been defeated at the Cross. Why do Christians still walk in
defeat? Have they not heard the great and marvelous things that God has done?
Do they not have eyes to see and understand and ears to hear truth?
Matthew 7:22-24
“Many
will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in
Your name?’ And then
I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart
from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”
Is this you?
Will you not take God at His Word and believe that all
things have passed away and He makes all things new? This includes everything
from shame, unforgiveness, past hurts, rebellion, sin, hurtful choices,
backsliding and everything else you can add to this list.
Let’s pray and ask God for deliverance from the lies and
bondage of Satan, who is the father of lies and deception. He longs to keep
God’s children in bondage and without hope.
Matthew 7:24-29
“But
everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a
foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came,
and the winds blew and beat on that house; and fell. And great was its fall. And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the
people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one
having authority, and not as the scribes.
