Spring Cleaning

Another season of Aging Gracefully would be "Clean Up." Spring cleaning is vital in keeping things in order. We can name a few places that can use some help; Garage Always the place where everyone puts away unused items. Finding a time to sort through and organize this area would be helpful. You can cash in some unused items by setting up a small yard sale just for a few hours. You can donate some items that family or neighbors can use, or even give to the Goodwill. Remember that your items can always be recycled for another person's use. Rooms There is something wonderful about disinfecting kitchen counters & shelves, bathroom, bedrooms, changing out comforters and replacing pillows. Just 4 You

Aging Gracefully should include finding time to do things that brings you joy. Let's think of two things that you can easily do that will bring you satisfaction. Let's see, there are several ideas: Gardening (so peaceful & rewarding) The satisfaction of sitting down to enjoy your work is rewarding. Cut grass, pull weeds, make ready a flower bed for the upcoming spring, planting something new. What about thinking of new plants? What about scheduling quiet-time when you need to water your new work? Aw, enjoy a glass of tea as you take in the work and joy of what you've done! Walk  (healthy & solitude) Being alone can be helpful. Try going for a walk around the block or two. As you start this walk, remember that your goal is to unwind and take in deep breathes that will unclog your mind and lungs! Its not a stroll, its a walk, so try a pace that is comfortable but yet, let it force you to use your hands and legs. Let's work as much of the body as possibl
