WISDOM IN TEMPTATION

She sits in her doorway on the heights overlooking the city. She calls out to men going by who are minding their own business.

"Come in with me,” she urges the simple; To those who lack good judgment, she says;
Stolen water is refreshing; food eaten in secret tastes the best!” Proverbs 9:14-17

TEMPTING
There is something hypnotic and intoxicating about sin. Have you noticed that all sinful behavior so often seems more exciting than godly behavior?

That is why many people put aside all thought of good in order to eat of the stolen food of foolishness and sin.

Do not be deceived - sin is dangerous. So before reaching for the forbidden fruit of sin, take a long good look at what happens to those who eat of it.

Check out how beautifully Solomon speaks of wisdom and set your heart towards wisdom and truth.  Proverbs 9:1-6

Wisdom has built her house;
She has carved its seven columns.
She has prepared a great banquet,
Mixed the wines, and set the table.
She has sent her servants to invite everyone to come.
She calls out from the heights overlooking the city.
"Come in with me,” she urges the simple.
To those who lack good judgment, she says,
“Come, eat my food,
And drink the wine I have mixed.
Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live;
learn to use good judgment.”

Let us carefully consider the cost of the deceptive & ugly truth that sin really is.
