What is the "New Normal"
So much to share! Excited about our nation desperately working to return to what our "new normal" will be.
The year 2020 will
forever be engrained into our hearts and mind...
As a people, we saw
division, anger, isolation, family togetherness and our true selves.
As a nation, we watched
frustration, hate, revolt, corruption, social change, murder and much
more.
As a global community,
we tried to communicate despite of our differences.
Let us pray for God's
benefits upon the lands and all peoples. We have much to be grateful for, even
amid confusion, death, sorrow, illness, strife etc.
Have you been feeling
like me? sad, angry, discouraged, alone, depressed, frustrated, lost, confused,
tired, hurting, grief, financial hardship, loss of
employment, hopeless, loss of loved ones, loss of
yourself and many other anxieties, all because of this new normal?
Let me refresh your heart, mind, and spirit by directing you to read Psalm 68, which will encourage you, strengthen your faith and reassure you that God is still in control.
You will see the contrast of blessings and curses, evil & good, and be reminded of who God is!
Psalm 68 in a nutshell
breaks down many of God's blessings. Here are a few to ponder, but I need to
direct you to read it for yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to minister, heal
and awaken your soul.
Psalm 68
Rise up, O God, and scatter your enemies. Let those who hate God run for their lives. Blow them away like smoke. Melt them like wax in a fire. Let the wicked perish in the presence of God.
Let the godly rejoice,
let them be glad in God’s presence, let them be filled
with joy and let them sing praises to God for His name is
the LORD, let us rejoice in His presence!
Father to the fatherless, defender of widows, this is God, whose dwelling is holy.
God places the lonely in families; He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.
You sent abundant rain, O God, to refresh the weary
land. There your people finally settled, and with a bountiful harvest,
O God, you provide for your needy people.
The Lord gives the Word, and a great army brings the good news. Even those who lived among the sheepfolds found treasures, doves with wings of silver and feathers of gold.
Praise the Lord, praise God our Savior! For each
day He carries us in his arms. Our God is a God who saves!
The Sovereign Lord rescues us
from death. But God will smash the heads of His enemies,
crushing the skulls of those who love their guilty ways.
Tell everyone about God’s power!
His Majesty shines down on
Israel; His strength is mighty in the heavens. God is
awesome in His sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power
and strength to His people.
Praise be to God!
Proverbs
16:9 "We
can make our plans, but the Lord determines our
steps"
Revelation
2:10 "Don’t be
afraid of what you are about
to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test
you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when
facing death, I will give you the crown of life"
Romans
8:15 "For
you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you
received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba,
Father!”
2 Timothy 3:15 - 17 "You have been taught the Holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.
All
Scripture is inspired by God and is useful
to teach us what is true and to make us realize what
is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and
teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His
people to do every good work.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope"
Matthew 6:24-26 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life, whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds! They do not plant or harvest or store food in barns! Your heavenly Father feeds them.
And aren’t you far more valuable to Him?
Romans
8:35 "Can
anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean God no longer loves
us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute,
or in danger, or threatened with death?
nugget “You and I are being prepared and equipped by God therefore, let us be strong and of good courage for our lives are in His precious hands.
