Alice Rodriguez 1957 - 2021

It’s with a heavy heart that I must let you know that Alice just passed away this morning at 1:02am.
After a long battle she has found rest & peace! 
Those are the things that she longed for.
We love you Alice!
Yup I went to Huntington Memorial and had 5 mins with her as her heart was slowing down. 
She passed peacefully & was not alone (the one fear she had).
She was admitted at 11pm because of the internal bleeding from the cancer. Her heart stopped & they performed CPR to bring her back.

They called & asked what to do the next time her heart stopped.
Of course, it was her directive to DNR. I went to be with her as they advised that her body was in shock & her heart would stop again.
I was able to get there on time. I told her that it was okay to let go. 
That it was time for her to go home. 
In her coma state, I’m sure she could hear, so I kissed her, cried, and watched her quietly pass. 
No fuss, no pain.. she peacefully went home!

    Life begins with a single cry and ends with tears from the many hearts that you touch.
    Hold on to your Faith when the day grows dark and the tears flow… then watch how Faith works.
    Thank you Lord, that you know all too well, this pain of loss, anguish and hurt.
    For You sent Your Son so that many would come to know You.
    Alice knew You and had come back to the arms of the Father.
    Thank you 4 answered prayer!
    Truly, she touched many lives.
    She had Your heart of compassion for the lonely & the weak.
    Thank you for her beautiful spirit that will move me to be more like You. And thank you Lord 4 giving me the best sister that truly showed me how to love others.

     Proverbs 21:22 “Whoever pursues righteous and unfailing love will find life, righteousness and honor” Father, Elohim,  “Thank you” 4 putting your wonderful creation together for all to enjoy and be rich by it all. Today in LA it has been raining, which is one thing we do not get much of .. but I “thank you” for it. It’s a time of slowing down.  It’s a time to sit and be still in the comfort of a warm home with family. I “thank you” Lord for the newness that comes with rain. It washes our soul and our mind.  We can take time to be still and reflect on where I AM .. where am I going .. and how to get there. The rain brings us to a stop and a moment to care about family, to look at ourselves and a chance for change, if needed. The rain heals the soul and lights it up with hope and freshness.  It’s a bath from head to toe that relaxes my spirit with the feeling of cleansing within me.
