Fruit of the Spirit - “LOVE “

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

How true this scripture is! Children do as they see their parents do.

Therefore, as children of God, we too want to do as our Father does ..

Let’s start with the fruit of His spirit … Gal 5:22

“But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. 

1. Love - do you love as your Father loves? 

“For God so loved the world, that He gave ..

Love is “giving  ourselves for another.”

It can be going the extra mile .. it can be giving up your own way for the sake of unity, peace, etc

When you can easily say “I love you” without thinking about it …

could this be that you have surrendered to “love” and can feel that true emotion towards another?  

Check yourself …..

“For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? 

Do not even the tax collectors do the same”

Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
