Word 4 Today - How is Your Faith?

Image
Hebrews 11:22                              It was by faith that Joseph, when he was about to die,  said confidently that the people of Israel would leave Egypt. He even commanded them to take his bones when they left.   We often hear the phrase “Man of Faith” in many a message, Joseph was just that kind of man. He lived through many failures and successes and saw the hand of God move mightily.  He believed so deeply the Israelites would  one day return to the promised land, God had given them, and Joseph  commanded the Israelites to bring his bones back with them.  Joseph’s bones were buried in Shechem and his  burial symbolizes faith and faithfulness.   How about you and I?   Is your faith so strong, we can say without a shadow of doubt that God will deliver on His promises? 🕊️ 12/30/2024 Great question Maggie...

WORD 4 TODAY “More Like Jesus

Image
Becoming Like Christ           2 Timothy 2:15  “Do your best to present yourself to God as  one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." As Christians, we are invited every day to become more like Christ.  We want to have the same mind and attitude that He had, to become more like Him every day.  In a world that’s constantly living in opposition to God’s design, we want to do our best to present ourselves to God as approved workers who have no need to be ashamed. Maybe you haven’t always lived life with Christ. Maybe there are things in your past you’re ashamed of.  That’s okay. You're not alone. In this letter, Paul tells Timothy not to be ashamed of his past, but instead to let his past be a testament to how Jesus has changed his life.  When we receive Jesus, we are made new and given a fresh start.  Your past is part of your story, a way that...

2025 New Year’s Prayer

Image
Every year as I come to the end of another year, I like to sit and listen to His small still voice. In these times, I can see the whirlwind and the storm as I pray for the new year. December is the time of reflection. I write up new prayer cards for the new year and wait on the Lord with expectation. I want to know and see how wonderfully He will answer. Not all my prayers will be answered, so I will write them again for the next new year. But for those intimate prayers that God does answer, I am once again reminded of His Faithfulness! These are my thoughts and prayers for our new year in 2025.  12/ 23/2024 - 3:10pm  Fruitful is the 2025 word as we teach from the Word in 2025. Flourish is the 2025 word as we wait and watch hope flourish in this new year. May “ hope ” flourish in the hearts of God’s people, our children, our communities, our government, schools, our families and our leaders in 2025, Amen 12/24/2024 @ 9:30am Darkness is the 2025 word as God’s people mu...

WORD 4 TODAY - “Keep Striving”

My prayer .. lord may I be ready to say to YOU .. “I have fought the good fight …. I have finished the race .. I have kept the faith”                               2 Timothy 4:7

Word for 2025 - “Dream”

Image
“For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.     We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.   For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies. While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us.  Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.   God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord.   For we live by believing and not by seeing”

Flourish - My Word 4 2025

Image
Flourish      Psalm 92:10-14 “But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil. My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;      My ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents. But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; They  will remain vital and green”

“Light Of The World” - John 8:12

Image
Merry Christmas!  May this day be filled with joy and love. Let not the emotions of the old Christmas times overshadow the warmth and Light of this journey. Past Christmases may have been different than what you have today.  But God, now has brought His Light into the world and we have tasted and seen this glorious Light. Later, in one of his talks, Jesus said to the people , “I am the Light of the world .” So if you follow Me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness , for living light will flood your path.”             John 8:12 Let’s rejoice with the angels as they praised God.   Luke 2:14  “ Glory to God in highest heaven,  and   peace  on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
