1 Timothy 2:1-4 “Prayer 4 Our Leaders”
Father, we ask that you bless President-elect Donald Trump and his team.
Give them wisdom as they assemble the next administration.
We pray for the selection of federal leaders who understand what the founders understood: our rights do not come from the government.
Instead, governments are put in place to protect the rights that You, our Creator, have given us. These rights include life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
We pray that the chosen leaders would be strong men and women of character who prioritize the well-being of the people they serve over their own personal ambition.
We ask that You would show them grace and cause them to turn toward You. Save those who are lost and use those who already serve You to be a light for Your kingdom.
We ask that integrity, truth, and wisdom would prevail and guide President-elect Trump, his cabinet, and Congress as they lead the United States of America during this critical time in our nation's history.
In addition, we ask that you bless the incoming 119th Congress and use America's representatives and senators to institute justice and promote righteousness.
May they live up to their oath of office and serve their constituents well by doing what is right, even when it is unpopular.
We acknowledge that Christians cannot afford to be complacent. Together, we must remain prayerful and vigilant, especially as a new Congress and president prepare to take office.
May the Church stand strong for the truth of Your Word and fulfill its mission to be salt and light so that the people in this and all nations would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
May all that is done be to Your glory and for Your name's sake.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
1 Timothy 2:1-4
“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth”
