WORD 4 TODAY - 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
With Easter right around the corner, many are planning to attend a church service, BBQ with family and games for the kids, ie easter egg hunt for the kids.
The planning for this is exciting for we all want to see family… but first is church.
How many dread this part of Easter Sunday?
We find no reason to rise up early, make ourselves ready and go out together, as a family, to hear the Word of God.
Are you surprised to know that God speaks? Yes, He speaks to creation.. He speaks to the hearts of the people, that desire to hear from Him.
For the world today, Easter is just another day, with the exception that we may have to attend church.
Have you not heard, that the world can not understand spiritual things?
This is because it is foolishness to the world. 1 Corinthians 2:14
“But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit.
It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means”.
So for the Christian, let this Easter season be a new beginning for you and others. Seek to hear what the Spirit of God is saying today.
Easter Sunday service will be a reminder as to why we celebrate, the Cross, the death of Jesus and on that 3rd day, Jesus rose from the grave.
By doing these things for those who believe, Jesus gave to us:
1. Victory over sin
2. New transformed life, no longer having to live in bondage to the ruler of this world (Satan)
3. Forgiveness of our sins.
This is so vital to the Christian, because we know that God hates sin. Proverbs 6:15-20
4. Once we accept (salvation) the free gift of what God has provided for us, through the sacrifice of the Blood of Jesus
5. We now are a new creation, able to stand in the Presence of our Holy God.
6. Now then, as children of the Most High God, let us walk in these Truths.
If we, the church will not praise God for His goodness and love ..
no worries, (the rocks) will take your place in worshipping the True and Living God.
Jesus said …
But He (Jesus) answered and said to them,
“I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out”. Luke 19:40
2 Corinthians 5:14-15
“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus:
that if One (Jesus) died for all, then all died;
And He (Jesus) died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for HIM who died for them and rose again”
