WORD 4 TODAY -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

 What is the will of God 4 you?

Well, we know that first God must have a relationship with you.

The well known verse John 3:16 says;

 

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”

That is called Salvation. We must get right with God, be forgiven and turn away from our old sinful nature.

And here it is .. the will of God 4 you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

1. Rejoice always, 

2. pray without ceasing, 

3. in everything give thanks; 

for this is the will of God 

in Christ Jesus for you”

God wants us to trust Him in all things. This means you can and should rejoice at all times. 

In trials, God is there. 

In sorrow, our God is there. 

In sickness, God is there.

Does this sound familiar? 

Yup, it’s part of the marriage vow we take when we are ready to commit ourselves.

It’s the same thought process with our relationship with God! He is what we need. In Christ we have all we need in this life.  

Look at Ephesians 1:1-11 and see the life that God has planned 4 you.

So simple and yet so hard for many.

God’s love is everywhere and Salvation is a free gift. Happy are those who are sitting in the counsel of God.
