1 Timothy 4:1
The Great Apostasy
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron (conscience is dead) 😵
“Apostasy” means the abandonment, to turn away from, to renounce ..
Apostasy is the rejection of Christ by one who has been a Christian".
It is a theological term describing those who have voluntarily and consciously abandoned their faith in the God.
"Apostasy” is the antonym of conversion..
Oreoeza, a theologian who has studied “apostasy” in the church; states reasons that people have turned away from their belief:
1. Doubt …
2. Persecution …
3. Hardship and Suffering..
4. False doctrine (twisting the Word of God so that it conforms to what they want) …
5. Negligence towards the things of God ..
6. Engaging in ungodly attitudes, actions or sinful acts”
1Timothy 4:1-2 NlV
“The Holy Spirit tells us in plain words that in the last days some people will turn away from the faith.
They will listen to what is said about spirits and follow the teaching about demons.
Those who teach this tell it as the truth when they know it is a lie.
They do it so much that their own hearts no longer says it is wrong” 😢
a. Where do you stand in your Faith?
b. Where is your heart?
c. Nothing is impossible with God!
d. God’s promise to you .. “you can do all things through Me (Jesus Christ) who will strengthen you”
Philippians 4: 12-13
In Paul’s letter to the church in Philipi, he writes to them about staying “steadfast” and walking in joy.”
Paul describes his joy in all things..
Philippians 4:1
“I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything.
“I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
For I can do everything through Christ,who gives me strength”
We know and believe that Jesus will return for His church.
When?
Nobody knows the day or hour!

ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you. I don’t doubt God but when the word says to fellowship with other believers then a few believers are not fully walking in Him and try to create division, it does shake me!
I have to talk to myself and say they are not the reason I follow Jesus.

ReplyDeleteGood words of truth. God used His Apostles to warn and correct us. It is up to us to learn and change the direction of our thoughts towards God.
If we choose to leave him, he will call to us ( the voice of the Sheppard).
If a person refuses to listen, he will sadly watch his loved one go.
But Jesus, our God, doesn't give up on us. We, however, are the ones to give up on God.
Take comfort in knowing, no matter what lie the liar has told.” But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to cleanse us from all wickedness.’ (NLT)
There are four promises from God in this verse.
1. God is faithful, and we can take it to the bank.)
2. God will forgive. (This, too, can be taken to the bank.)
3. God will cleanse us from all wickedness. ( Yes, you can cash this statement in, too.)
4. Sins. ( God will forgive all of our sins; none are excluded.)
