Word 4 Today - “Romans 12:3”
Don’t think you are better than you really are.
Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us”
Paul had good reason to pass down this warning!
Remember, Paul had a great idea of himself before he met Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, where he was to round up these zealots, called “christians”.
Philippians 3:5, Paul explains his ancestry and achievements.
I do not think that he was boasting of himself on this occasion, because Paul had already met Jesus!
Rather, Paul was trying to reason with them and show them, that he was just like them; until he met Jesus, the Lord and Savior.
Like us, we too struggle in this area. Could it be you think highly of:
•your job?
•Your family?
•Yourself?
Maybe it’s material things, such as:
•your home?
• neighbor?
Whatever is your idol, why not take time to search 👀 your heart.
God’s order of priority is simple;
1. The Lord your God
2. Spouse
3. Children
Read carefully
1Kings 17:13 and Matthew 6:33
