Be Thankful - Isaiah 53:3

This Thanksgiving holiday as we get together with friends and family let us be grateful for what we have through the life of Jesus of Nazareth.  Throughout the world many will be grateful for their families, their jobs, their position, their education and etc.  But how many will share their thankfulness for what was done for them? Many can not see or understand this beautiful work, but if you do, be grateful this holiday for that.  Many will prepare to return to church and make ready to celebrate Christmas (the birth of a savior) not knowing the Savior. It will all just be a traditional religious celebration, without knowing the true work that was done for them. Be challenged to read, meditate and then share the scripture below. Give time to think about the words underlined and what it means to you.  Use your own meaning to these words and allow the Holy Spirit to quietly speak to your heart. Much has not changed over these 2,019 years since the death of Je...

FEAR NOT

Image
The psalmist David beautifully penned the picture of how we feel when we are afraid. First, we realize that we are afraid and then the Holy Spirit speaks tenderly God's Holy Word to your spirit and you're comforted. Secondly, we are strengthen by God's Word. Now by faith we walk with God knowing that all things are in His hands and He will work out all things for your good. Thirdly, we rest on God's promises! Aww, we come to the fresh living water and sit as we wait with expectation for God to work His perfect plan. So, the reality is that there is no reason to be afraid. Fear can paralyze. When we focus on our fears instead of on God, we become helpless. But when we trust God to help us, we then can face our fears. The  Lord  is my light and my salvation      so why should I be afraid? The  Lord  is my fortress, protecting me from danger,      so why should I tremble? when my enemies and foes attack me, ...

SAY ANYTHING

Image
Do you believe that God hears only certain requests? It is true that we should offer God praise, confession and petitions, but it is also true that God is willing to listen to anything  we want to tell him. David knew this and expressed himself honestly  to God, knowing  that God would hear his voice. Challenge: Give God a chance to hear your heart. No, not a request for someone else; but rather speak to Him from your heart. You may find it much easier to pray for others than for yourself, but take this challenge. Open your heart and pour out your concerns to God and you will sense His love pouring over you. Let's take a time out with God, just you and Him!

ROMANCE

Image
Have you read the pages of the Song of Songs? Oh, its a beautiful love story of wanting & waiting on the lover of your soul. It is the perfect modern day love story of how a couple longs for one another as they wait for their designated time of marriage. ROMANCE Romantic attraction can generate emotions that overpower reason. Often a person will become enamored with someone and rush to develop an intimate relationship based on strong feelings. But remember, feelings will not be enough to support a lasting relationship. This verse encourages us not to force romance lest the feelings of love grow faster than that of the commitment which is much needed, to make love last. Song of Songs "Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the swift gazelles and the deer of the wild, not to awaken love until the time is right." Let us remember and teach one another to patiently wait for commitment and feelings of love to develop together.

I AM the One, they look for But can not see I AM the One, they talk about But do not know I AM the One, they need But do not desire I AM the One, that chases after them But they run from Me I AM the One, who loves them But they laugh They say, "Your Love" is hard "Your Love" restricts "Your love" costs too much I AM , the One that can say, "My Love" has conquered All Just look at The Cross . Isaiah 43:1-7 But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.     O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.     I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters,     I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty,     you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression,     you will not be burned up;     the ...

AFFECTIONS

Proverbs 4:23-27 "Above all else, guard your heart, For it affects everything you do. Avoid all perverse talk; Stay far from corrupt speech. Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; then stick to the path and stay safe. Do not get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil". Wise and powerful words written by King Solomon. These are the very words we have shared with our children and others, and yet it is a wonderful reminder to us! AFFECTIONS Our heart, our feelings of love & desire will dictate to a great extent how we live because we almost always find time to do what we enjoy. Solomon tells us to guard our heart above all else, making sure we concentrate on those desires that will keep us on the right path. Make sure your affections lead you in the right direction. Put boundaries on your desires & set good standards for yourself that will please God. Keep your eyes fixed on Chri...
