You want to learn about a man’s perspective of becoming a parent?

You see things in a different light and with a new responsibility to not only your wife but family. 

You realize that the role God had bestowed upon you is not a glamorous role but one built on necessity. 

When your child cries it takes everything out of you just to be patient and not run to their aid. You rather comfort them from afar by either rocking their crib or in our case, reassuring them through everyday actions in life. 

But the major correlation is the voice. The voice of a parent to their child is known, but is also peaceful as well as calming. Simply by your voice your child instantly becomes comforted. 

While I have yet to experience the opportunity to use my voice to pour wisdom into our child, the peace and safety brought to them just by a voice is amazing to witness. 

You begin to understand why God, with many ways to contact you, will use a small still voice. The reason is because in the mists of this crazy, loud and unrelenting world, it is calm, relaxing and most of all KNOWN.
