I crossed path with a friend that I had met some time ago, but I did not easily recognize him. His attitude was light and fun, his point of view was positive, his looks had drastically changed and he seemed so happy.  What a contrast to when we first met. As we make ready to honor our earthly fathers with celebration of family, food, laughter, ties & gifts along with lots of love, let’s remember that for some this may be a day of reflection and memories instead. I remember reading God’s love story of Boaz and Ruth. How beautifully God orchestrated their meeting and circumstance with the various characters for the story. You don’t hear God speaking but you see His hand very much involved in the lives of Naomi, Boaz, Ruth and later their children. After that study, our group discussed how we all desired a Boaz in our lives. A Godly man that would have a tender heart and a gentle spirit towards us.  Like children, we desire to be cared for and protected.
