As I’m learning about Lot’s character, I must be honest and say that it has been an eye-opener! I learned how under Abraham’s umbrella, Lot was blessed because God blesses Abraham, whom He calls “a friend”. Due to the division between their herds men, Abraham decided that it would be best for Lot and him to separate. Abraham though he was the oldest, gave Lot 1st choice to choose which side of the land he wanted.   Without asking God what he should do, (like me at times), Lot looked up and scoped the land. It was towards Sodom that he saw the green pasture for his cattle and decided that he and his family would go in that direction.  How many times have you made decisions about what would be best for you and the family, without considering God? As the story goes, we see the woes that will fall on Lot because of his reckless decision. The city and its people are a perverted bunch. My dear best friend went home yesterday. And today he is running about with his brothers; Lil Man, Rufus and his sister Peggy Sue. Such sweet sorrow & comfort knowing that he’s himself again, feeling healthy and free.  He is 13 doggie years on earth but Heaven does not have days or years. There is only eternity!     One can sense when there is something wrong with our best friend .. they are happy to see you and being around the family, but there is something about their eyes, that reflects what they are feeling  .                             Is sickness and death for all of creation? Let’s review all that God created for us.  Plants and trees can wither and die.  Animals, birds, fishes and all creeping things also live to die.  The stars, the waters and the land, the heavens, the seasons, the day & the night, the moon and the sun they are still in place, right...

It had to come down to my mental health & body fatigue for God to get my attention, and let me know that I needed to slow down. On this 10 month journey I had a wonderful awakening! I experienced downtime, fear, meditative of death & getting my house in order. Without knowing what to do, I stepped down from work and ministry, then I stepped away from people.  All this was my way of clearing my mind, body & soul.  My gracious Father had a plan for me. He needed to get my attention first, because I wouldn’t deal with the pain and loss in my heart. Like with all trials and challenges, we are without understanding, we only have faith. I wasn’t looking for Him, but I knew that I needed Him more than ever before!  That is why and how this journey began. God, gave me the path I needed to be on, that would give me time to “reset” my mind, my body and my soul. WORD 4 TODAY  Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” We all have somewhere to go.  So, in living this life, we should; 1. have the mindset that you have a destination (goal) 2. you should have an attitude of gratitude (the prize of eternity is a call of God) 3. a real understanding of who you ARE, in Jesus Christ)  and WHY .. (He laid down His life so that you may live), blessed here on earth as you wait to see Him face to face. 4. “Almighty God ” We can find life applications in the story of Ruth, a Moabite that would not return to her pagan country, but firmly said to her Mother-in-law Naomi. “ Ruth replied, “Do not ask me to leave you and turn back.  Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live,  I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God”   (Ruth 1:16) What a statement Ruth made, and God honored her! She is in the lineage of the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. Matthew 1:5    “ Salmon was the father of Boaz (whose mother was Rahab).  Boaz was the father of Obed (whose mother was Ruth). ” But the her story does not only speaks of how “El Shaddai” blessed her, but also Naomi. These two women are synonymous because they witnessed “El Shaddai” (the Almighty God) make something beautiful from their tragic loss. Remember their story? How Naomi’s family (her husband and their two sons) left Bethlehem due to famine. They lived in Moab, and raised their son...
