WORD 4 TODAY - “Worship”

Image
Exercise & diet is good and recommendable for a strong and healthy body. But listen to the Word of God. Romans 12:1   “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you!  Let your body be a living and holy sacrifice, the kind God will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him!” Psalm 38:3   “Because of your anger, my whole body is sick; my health is broken because of my sins.” Proverbs 14:30    A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Proverbs 18:14 The human spirit can endure a sick body, but who can bear a crushed spirit? Ecclesiastes 11:10   So, refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy.  Matthew 5:29 “So, if your eye, even your good eye, causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your wh

https://youtu.be/b5rKZs6HnB4?si=AJKwCxQMcfAVLZvp Does anyone remember “Kid Dy O Mite”? How he always told others how great he was and comparing himself to dynamite? The character is funny, but our God’s Word is real dynamite amen! Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and powerful.  It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.  It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires” Does anyone remember JJ Walker’s character in the show “Good Times” This is the best description 4 the Word of God! So get excited about what you have hidden in your heart … it’s better than riches, because it will last through all of eternity!

WORD 4 TODAY - “Student”

Image
2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture” is inspired by God and is “useful to teach” us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.  It “corrects us” when we are wrong and “teaches us” to do what is right.  God uses it to “prepare and equip” his people to do every good work. If you are a child, adult or elderly, you should always keep an attitude of learning. There is much yet to understand, or get right, see differently or needs changing in us. Let’s be open to what we need to change, as this is still part of your growing up process!

WORD 4 TODAY - “Blessed”

Image
Ephesians 5:19-20  “speaking to one another in psalms  and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,  giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” As Americans we are blessed to have our freedom and live thus far very comfortably. As Christians we are blessed to have one another and the grace and love of God. Let us not take either one of these things 4 granted!  Live your life and let your light so shine  before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven”

WORD 4 TODAY - “Each Other”

Image
The Value of Each Other As much as the world around us tries to lure us into self-dependency, God created us for each other. For community. For a life that’s not alone. The author of Proverbs said it like this: “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭NIV We’ll all face hard times—sometimes when we least expect it. But a friend’s genuine care can mean the world, a sibling’s unconditional love can’t be replaced, and a neighbor’s practical help is priceless.  We need each other more than we realize: emotionally, practically, and spiritually. If you’ve found yourself in a busy season where you’ve unintentionally neglected your true friends or been too busy for your real family, now is the time to reprioritize. If there’s unresolved conflict with a friend or family member, and it’s slowly deteriorating the relationship, now is the time to set aside your pride and choose to make things right. If you’re silently struggling alone, now is

WORD 4 TODAY - “Delight”

Image
Psalm 37:3-5 Verse 3 “Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Verse 4 Take delight in the Lord and he will give you your heart’s desires” Verse 5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you” I heard a preacher once say that this passage gets misquoted so therefore it’s misunderstood….  I wholeheartedly agree! I try to take V4 and make it fit my needs and wants.  In my heart I say “Lord, you say that you will give me the desires of my heart”. Well then, I desire a home from which I can have more bible studies for your glory ..  then I ask “and Lord,  I desire a companion with whom I can serve you, because your Word says “that two are better than one!” (Ecc 4:9) … Do you see how my heart is not acting nor thinking according to God’s Will, but mine? If I take the entire passage which is V 3 - 5, it tells me exactly what I should do ..  1. Trust in the Lord 2. Do good then I will be safe and prosper.   Wow, I’m blessed

WORD 4 TODAY - “Wisdom”

Image
proverbs 1:8-9 “My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck”. Here Solomon begins chapter 1 with insight on “wisdom.” Humans need wisdom, for no one what’s to be looked at as a fool. But there are different kinds of wisdom.  Such as, street wise, worldly wisdom, educational wisdom, your own wisdom and God’s wisdom. Verses 1-7 speaks of God’s wisdom and its importance and its beginning. Check it out! Sound Wisdom should begin at home. But not everyone had godly parents. Parents should teach & provide good wisdom in the home. Verses 8 & 9 tells us that wisdom and good counsel from parents should be respected and honor, for it would serve you well. Solomon describes parents instructions as of great value, exquisite jewelry, beautiful and delicate ornaments! We all enjoy looking the best we can when out about with friends, family etc. So let’s con
