WORD PICTURE SIN means to miss the mark. We all are born with this nature of falling short of the mark. Sin began in the garden of Eden, where God’s creation lived in perfect harmony. There, everything was holy and man’s relationship with God and creation was a perfect picture of heaven here on earth. This was God’s plan. But, because of man’s disobedience in the garden of Eden, sin entered the world. The serpent (who was against God from the beginning) becomes the influence of this world as we now know it. Man is put out of the garden and his relationship with God is not the same, for God is holy and man has now inherited a sinful nature. This is where we are today. The world blames God for all that is ugly; death, sickness, sorrows, wars, hatred, heartaches and the list goes on. The truth is that through man’s disobedience sin has entered our world. I want to ask, would you be interested at looking a bit more closely at the message of the Cross?
